Mandi Elkins Hutchins
Lead and Harmony Vocals

Mandi started singing as soon as it was possible, though her first memory of performing was at the age of 6. She was raised in a family that enjoyed and appreciated music but the only practitioners were her and her Baptist choir director father and their only stage was at church! She cut her teeth on hymns learning how to sing harmonies and read music by the age of 8. Her mother introduced her to musical theatre and she caught the bug. Apart from being the lead singer for UnderCover, she spends the rest of her time on stage and screen as an actor — with the bulk of her professional work in Musical Theatre. She also has two pretty fabulous kids and a wonderful husband who get quite a bit of her attention too.
A couple years ago she found herself on a bigger break from acting than she had anticipated and an itch to perform. She was introduced to the band by Eric whom she had worked with on the theatre scene. Singing with a cover band has been a bucket list item for Mandi for a long time and while she appreciates 70s/80s/90s rock (it’s on heavy rotation in her playlists…). She certainly never imagined that the cover band she would front would be that genre. Little did she know it was the EXACT music therapy that she needed. Her band brothers have pushed her to do songs that she never thought she’d be able to do and she is very thankful for them for seeing something in her she couldn’t see herself.
Mandi is a high-energy, “leave it all on the stage” type of performer and she gets so much joy sharing such iconic music with so many people.
